Recommended Reading, Erika Chistakis

Instead of a story recommendation this week, there is a series of articles that I recommend. I'll be back later this week or next with another story to recommend.

Erika Chistakis wrote a three part article for Huffington Post on 'What Women Want: the Cinematic Wasteland of Female Fantasy'. She used Twilight as the main example. The things she talks about are things that do resonate with women. I did not personally think of these things as I read the TWS books, but the saga certainly did resonant with me and lots of other women and the things mentioned are good points.  She also wrote an earlier article for Time.com on Twilight Haters, a link for that is also given.

Twilight Lexicon posted links to the articles and there are some really good comments under all three article posts.

Comments are always appreciated.  Take care, AW

Weekly story recommendation, 14 Feb 12

Hey, I'm back with a weekly recommendation.  I know these haven't been as regular as initially planned, mundane life interferes sometimes.  This one in honor of Valentine's Day.  It takes place between Twilight and New Moon.  Canon story a possible missing scene, PG rating, three short chapters.  Hope you enjoy.

It is about a gift Bella gives Edward.  "Come Dancing" by Silly Bella.
Summary: Edward loves to dance. Bella want to make him happy.

Happy Valentine's Day

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Perhaps not the usual message for this day, but still a message of love.  For some the love of our Heavenly Father and His Son is all that they feel, all that they have.  Perhaps you can reach out and let some one know that they are loved by more than Heavenly Father and His Son.  Some little tender gesture may turn someone's day around, may shine a light where there was only darkness.

God bless and keep you and yours safe in His Hands.
Peace, Joy and Love.
